PSY to Appear in Ad Promoting Korea

Riding a boost in popularity from his newly released single “Gentleman,” South Korean singer PSY will soon star in an advertisement promoting Korea abroad.

In the Korea Tourism Organization-sponsored ad, PSY introduces the unknown, fun aspects of Korea in his unique humorous style. For example, he will tout the generosity of Korean restaurants that offer side dishes for free.

On the Internet, the singer will present 27 key words to help travelers recognize South Korea as a more attractive tourist destination.

PSY will promote his home country in six different versions of the 15-second-long ad.

The ad will be aired in roughly 70 countries around the world starting early next month.
