President Park Calls for an End to N. Korea's Vicious Cycle

President Park Geun-hye has called for the international community's help to put an end to the vicious cycle of negotiating with Pyongyang and providing aid to the state for stopping threats and provocations.

Park made the remarks during a meeting with foreign ambassadors at the presidential office in Seoul, including Danish Ambassador Peter Lysholt Hansen. She asked for their cooperation so that North Korea would make the right decision.

Park said that Pyongyang will stand at a crossroads of becoming a member of the global community or isolation only when the international society sends a consistent message to the communist state in one voice.

She warned against North Korea’s recent moves of escalating tensions on the Korean Peninsula through threats and provocations. Park also thanked the foreign ambassadors for supporting South Korea’s North Korea policies.
