N. Korea Refuses Dialogue with ‘Hostile’ South

North Korea has stressed that inter-Korean dialogue will never take place as long as the South Korean government continues hostile acts against the North.

The Korean Central News Agency reported a spokesman of North Korea’s Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea said that there will be neither dialogue nor improved relations between the two Koreas if South Korea and the United States continue to team up and engage in hostile acts.

The spokesman cited acts such as sanctions against North Korea, deliberately accusing it of its space development and bolstering of its nuclear force, and "staging war exercises after massively introducing sophisticated war hardware into South Korea."

An official of Seoul's Unification Ministry told reporters that Pyongyang is turning away from Seoul and Washington’s request from dialogue, calling the latest statement only a cliché claim. The official added that North Korea is apparently well aware of the fact that South Korea and the international community do not pose any threat to its regime.
