The association of South Korean firms with factories in the Gaeseong Industrial Complex in North Korea says the halt of complex operations is inflicting huge losses but it's not considering pulling out.
Vice chairman Yoo Chang-geun of the Corporate Association of Gaeseong Industrial Complex says that individual companies could consider a pullout depending on their management situation but the association's aim and direction is to normalize complex operations.
Some company representatives at the complex however express difficulties of getting paid for products already supplied because raw materials are stuck at the complex. They note it's not easy to restore in a short time the trust in business relations.
One company representative pointed out it's time the government make a decision if it believes the Gaeseong complex is worthy to keep and maintain for South Korea's national interest.
Association officials will also try to visit the complex again. In their first try, North Korea rejected a cross-border visit.
