The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Gyeonggi Province to build a K-pop concert hall in Goyang City.

Under the agreement, the two sides will construct a 15-thousand seat concert hall by 2016 at Hallyu World, an enormous Korean pop culture complex being built in the province.

The two sides plan to find ways to improve transportation in the region for better access and to utilize the land in the complex.

The ministry will also seek ways to enhance the content of a K-pop museum, which will be built near the concert hall.
