Unification Minister Ryoo Kihl-jae says that it is meaningless if the Gaeseong Industrial Complex is normalized on condition that South Korea accepts North Korea’s unfair demands.

The minister made the remarks in a lecture for the National Unification Advisory Council in downtown Seoul on Tuesday.

The North's unfair demands that the minister mentioned include an apology by South Korean media for making what the North called an insult to the North Korean leader and an apology by South Korean Defense Minister Kim Kwan-jin for his remarks regarding the South's military plans against the North.

The unification minister said that Seoul decided to withdraw its workers from the Gaeseong Industrial Complex as it simply cannot accept those demands.
