Buddhist Leader Issues Message Ahead of Buddha's Birthday

The head of the nation’s largest Buddhist sect Jogye Order has issued a message ahead of Buddha’s Birthday on Friday.

In the message released on Tuesday, Venerable Jaseung called on people to look at each other without greed, hatred, prejudice and discrimination.

He also urged people to join hands and seek the path of peace and happiness together, especially when natural disasters threaten life and the Korean Peninsula is at risk of war.

Venerable Jaseung hoped that political leaders, intellectuals and religious people will all join forces to make a country in which people do not lose their jobs to become homeless.
