KOBA 2013 Opens at COEX

The 23rd Korea International Broadcast Audio and Lighting Equipment Show, or KOBA, has opened at the COEX convention center in Seoul.

For four days from Monday, about 830 companies from 33 countries, including South Korea’s terrestrial broadcaster KBS, will showcase their latest broadcasting equipment and technologies.

KBS is displaying up-to-date broadcasting services and equipment, such as 3D animation to display sign language and ultra high definition (UHD) television.

The Korean Broadcasting Engineers and Technicians Association will organize about 70 lectures and forums on broadcasting policy, broadcasting technology, convergence, and contents during the event.
