The Lotte Business Group said Thursday it has revised the blueprints for construction of the world's tallest building. Under the revision, approved by the Busan City administration, Lotte Shopping and Lotte Hotel will jointly construct the 107-story building on 40,816 square meters of land instead of the previously planned 30,516 square meters in downtown Busan where the city government building was situated. The revised blueprints for the 465-meter high-rise building with 472,000 square meters of floor space reflects the need to extend the construction site for roads linking the building with the Jagalchi fish market and nearby piers. The plan calls for the building of an 800-room five-star hotel, an observation post, an "intelligent" office building and a department store incorporating fitness and cultural centers.
