North Korea’s special envoy to China has met with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

China’s state-run Xinhua News Agency said that President Xi met Vice Marshal Choe Ryong-hae at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Friday.

Choe delivered a personal letter from North Korean leader Kim Jong-un to the president.

Earlier in the day, Choe reiterated Pyongyang’s hope to resolve issues through dialogue with relevant parties in a meeting with Vice Chairman of the Chinese Communist Party Central Military Commission Fan Changlong.
