Heads of Korean Cultural Centers Overseas to Meet in Seoul

Heads of Korean cultural centers overseas and officials who promote Korean culture abroad will convene for a meeting starting in Seoul on Monday.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that during the five-day meeting at the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History, participants will discuss ways to continue and expand the Korean wave, or Hallyu.

In order to realize President Park Geun-hye’s pledge to promote cultural prosperity, participants will analyze other countries’ related experiences and discuss ways to use overseas Korean cultural centers as strongholds to spreading Korean culture abroad.

A total of 42 heads of Korean cultural centers and culture promotion officials are working in 31 countries.
