Russia has been chosen as the host country for the 2015 World Taekwondo Championships.

In a meeting of the World Taekwondo Federation in Lausanne, Switzerland, the Russian Urals city of Chelyabinsk won 20 votes to host the international event. Brazil and Vietnam each won five votes.

The taekwondo competition will be held for eight days starting from September 16th, 2015.
