KCNA: Repatriated Youths Claim Kidnapping by S. Korea

North Korea’s state-run media has revealed for the first time the activities and comments of nine North Korean youths who were repatriated from Laos last month.

The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) disclosed the names of the nine youths as it reported that they took part in a discussion meeting on Thursday.

The youths claimed that they crossed the border to Laos in the car of a South Korean missionary and the Lao government helped them get back to their homeland after discovering they had been kidnapped.

The youths also said the South Korean missionary sent three other young North Koreans to South Korea in September 2011 and another four to the United States last August with help from head of the North Korea Freedom Coalition, Suzanne Scholte.
