The Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-Water) will hold a cultural event for foreign workers at its headquarters in Daejeon on Sunday.

Around 200 foreign workers and their families from seven countries will be invited to K-Water and take part in cooking and singing contests, as well as sports activities. Those who invited include foreign workers from Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Indonesia.

K-Water said that the event is aimed at promoting friendly ties by understanding each other's cultures. The state-run water supplier has been hosting the event every year since 2008.
