It has been confirmed that last week North Korea launched four short-range projectiles into waters off its east coast.
 
A South Korean military official said Tuesday that the North launched the projectiles last Wednesday, a day before the Seoul-Beijing summit.
 
The official said the projectiles are presumed to be a new kind of 300 millimeter artillery rockets that the North also launched in mid-May.
