An advance team preparing for Wednesday's inter-Korean working-level talks at the Gaeseong Industrial Complex entered the joint factory park in the North at around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The Unification Ministry said the advance team’s visit came after an agreement with the North via liaison officers at the truce village of Panmunjeom.

The advance team is made up of 25 people, including eight government officials and 17 officials from the Gaeseong Industrial District Management Committee, Korea Telecom and Korea Electric Power Corporation.

The advance team will return to the South at 5 p.m. after reviewing details of the upcoming inter-Korean meeting and a planned visit by representatives of South Korean firms that have factories in Gaeseong.
