The Ministry of Science and Technology has developed what it claims is the world's smallest and best capsule-type endoscope. The ministry said the state-of-the-art product, called "Miro," can diagnose hemorrhages, ulcers, inflammations and tumors in the digestive organs such as gullet, duodenum and small intestines. The endoscope measures ten millimeters in diameter and 25 millimeters in length. It was jointly developed by a Korea Institute of Science and Technology team and a medical team of Yonsei University.
