'Tuesday's Goods Retrieval from Gaeseong Likely to Be Largest'

The government says Tuesday’s retrieval of finished goods from the Gaeseong Industrial Complex is likely to be the largest yet.

The Unification Ministry said 312 South Korean workers from 78 textile and garment manufacturers and 57 officials from related agencies will visit the industrial park with 265 vehicles.

Efforts to bring home materials from Gaeseong began last Friday. The ministry said as of Monday, 48 South Korean firms had returned roughly 516 tons of raw materials, finished goods and equipment from their factories at the joint venture in the North.

More than 210 workers and officials from South Korean companies and related agencies made the round-trip with 153 vehicles on Monday.
