Son Yeon-jae Aims to Medal in 3 Events at Universiade

South Korean rhythmic gymnast Son Yeon-jae will compete in three events in the finals of the 27th Summer Universiade under way in Kazan, Russia.
 
Son will compete in the ball, clubs and ribbon categories. On Sunday, she finished in third place in the ball category with a score of 17-point-800. She also placed fifth in the clubs category with a score of 17-point-500 and sixth in the ribbon category with a score of 17-point-433 on Monday. 

She finished sixth overall among the 32 rhythmic gymnasts competing.
 
If Son grabs a medal on Tuesday, she will become the first South Korean rhythmic gymnast to ever capture a medal in a summer universiade event.
