The fossil zone of dinosaur footprints located in Nangdo-ri, Whajung-myon, Yeosoo City, was desinated as natural treasure No. 434 by the nation. There are five different islands in the Yeosoo area where a total of 3,546 dinosaur footprints have been discovered. This area has also been designated as the potential world cultural treasures site by UNESCO.
