South Korean pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin of the Los Angeles Dogers clinched his eighth win in U.S. Major League Baseball on Monday. 
 
The rookie pitcher improved to 8-3 despite allowing four runs and nine hits in 51/3 innings in the 14-5 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays. Ryu left the mound with the Dodgers leading 10-2.
 
The win gave the Dodgers the lead in the National League West over Arizona. LA has won its last 21 out of 26 games.  
 
Ryu will start next Sunday against the Cincinnati Reds at Dodgers Stadium to face compatriot slugger Choo Shin-soo.
