The annual Boryeong Mud Festival, which kicked off last Friday in South Chungcheong Province, is drawing keen attention from foreign media around the world.

The organizing committee on Thursday said that the festival has been covered by about 200 media outlets from some 30 countries, including CNN and the Wall Street Journal of the U.S. and the BBC of Great Britain.

The world’s three leading news agencies Reuters, AP and AFP, as well as photo agency Getty Images, and U.S. broadcasters ABC and CNN sent reporters to the event.

The festival ends on Sunday.
