North Korea has reportedly proposed that the two Koreas conduct a survey of the overland route to Mount Geumgang and a pilot tour some time between February 4th and the 14th. Hyundai Asan, the operator of the tour, plans to make a decision on the final schedule in a meeting Monday. A company official said preparations are being made so that the survey of the route would take place on February 4th and the pilot tour on February 12th. Around 100 people including officials from the government, Hyundai Asan and tourism-related businesses are expected to join the survey team. Hyundai Asan plans to invite around 400 people including figures from the government, academia and the financial sector to participate in the pilot tour.
