S. Korean Officials Set out to Gaeseong for 7th Working-Level Talks

South Korea’s delegation has set out to the Gaeseong Industrial Complex for the seventh working-level talks with North Korean officials on normalizing operations of the joint venture.

The South’s chief delegate to the talks, Kim Ki-woong, told reporters on Wednesday ahead of departure that he will exert his best efforts to meet the South Korean people’s expectations toward the talks.

The South’s delegation passed through the military demarcation line at around 8:30 a.m. and started the talks with North Korean officials at around 10:00 a.m.

After the past six rounds of talks, the two sides still largely disagree over who should take responsibility for the complex shutting down and ways to prevent it from happening again.
