Fashion shows will be staged at a shopping district in Seoul every Saturday for the next six months.
 
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said it will jointly host the free weekly fashion shows with the Council of Fashion Designers in Korea at Dongdaemun from August 17th.
 
The events will feature works by up-and-coming young designers. Performances by popular singers and b-boys will also be staged on the sidelines of the fashion shows.
 
The ministry said that, in addition to the fashion shows, various other programs including a modeling contest will give consumers the opportunity to better understand fashion designers and their works.
