Rhythmic gymnast Son Yeon-jae has won silver and bronze medals at the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) World Cup held in Russia. 

In the individual hoop discipline final held Sunday local time in St. Petersburg, the 19-year-old earned 17-point-833 points to win the silver. Russia's Margarita Mamun won the gold for the hoop competition.

In the ribbon event, Son also finished third with a score of 18-point-066.

After training in Moscow, she will compete in the World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship opening in Ukraine next Wednesday.
