Gyeonggi Province will hold a marathon near the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) to mark the 60th anniversary of the end of Korean War.

The provincial government on Tuesday said that it will hold the Peace and Unification Marathon on October sixth.

The marathon course will start at Imjingak Pyeonghwa-Nuri park
in Paju and finish at the Inter-Korean Transit Office located inside the Civilian Control Line near the DMZ.

The government will receive applications from those wishing to take part through September seventh.
