N.Korea Expresses Hope for Improvement in Inter-Korean Relations

North Korea says the two Koreas will witness significant improvement in their bilateral relations if they produce positive results in holding reunions of separated families and resuming tours to Mount Geumgang based on their agreement on restarting the Gaeseong Industrial Complex.

The Rodong Shinmun daily, an organ of the North’s ruling Workers’ Party, said Friday that inter-Korean relations will improve substantially and reunification will come closer when various cross-border exchanges are realized.

North Korea’s propaganda Web site, Uriminzokkiri, also said the two Koreas should continue efforts to create a positive environment to build trust and harmony between the two sides.
