Gov't Designates Stone Pagoda 'Treasure'

The government has designated a stone pagoda in a city east of Seoul a treasure for its historical and academic values.
 
On Monday, the city government of Namyangju in Gyeonggi Province said the Cultural Heritage Administration designated the octagonal five-story stone pagoda treasure No. 1,808. 
 
Built in the early days of the Joseon Dynasty, the pagoda is located at Sujong Temple in Mount Ungil in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province.
