The new coach of the national soccer team says he'll build a team which is mentally well-armed as well as physically strong. Humberto Coelho laid out his plans on how to train the national team at a news conference held at the Korea Football Association on Tuesday. Coelho said he'll focus his training on speed and all-round pressing, but the most important thing is for a player to be prepared mentally. He said he will bring a physical trainer from Portugal, although he plans to hire Koreans as a goalkeeping coach and two other coaches. The Portuguese coach also had some good words for his predecessor, Guss Hiddink, who brought South Korea to the semi-finals of last year's World Cup. Coelho, who steered Portugal to the Euro 2000 semi-finals, signed a contract to coach the national team late last year. The contract will run until the end of August next year but there will be an option to extend it until the Two-thousand-six World Cup finals, depending on how South Korea performs at the Asian Cup next year.
