KEPCO Boosts Power Supply to Gaeseong Park

South Korea's electricity supplier increased power transmission to the Gaeseong Industrial Complex in North Korea on Friday ahead of the complex's reopening on Monday.

The Korea Electric Power Corporation says it’s daily power supply to the industrial park is now 100-thousand kilowatts, allowing a stable amount of electricity for South Korean firms there.

The power company was providing a minimum amount of electricity at around 20-thousand kilowatts to Gaeseong from early April, when the complex suspended operations.

The two Korea’s agreed on Wednesday to reopen the factory park after marathon talks.
