'Globalization of Gaeseong Complex Faces Challenges'

The two Koreas are holding a third round meeting of the Gaeseong Industrial Complex joint management committee.

The committee heads and subcommittee chiefs from the two sides sat down at 10 a.m. in Gaeseong, North Korea, for the talks.

The meeting will seek to reach additional agreements related to South Koreans’ entry and stay at the complex. The two sides met Friday but failed to narrow differences on how to handle possible violations of law by South Koreans at the factory park and how to guarantee their rights.

Before leaving for the meeting, Seoul’s chief representative Kim Ki-woong told reporters there are many problems that need to solved before the inter-Korean factory park can be globalized. He said he will work hard for the committee to resolve those problems one by one.
