Figure Skater Kim Yu-na Unable to Compete in Grand Prix

South Korean figure skater Kim Yu-na will not be able to compete in the Grand Prix series in the 2013-14 season due to an injury.

The Korea Skating Union said on Thursday Kim is suffering from a foot injury which will take about six weeks to heal completely.

Due to the injury, the current Olympic champion will not be able to take part in the Skate Canada in October and the Trophée Eric Bompard in November. But she will compete in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics as expected.
