South Korean pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin of the Los Angeles Dodgers threw seven shutout innings to lead his team to a 3-0 win on Monday night in the National League Championship Series. 

In Game 3 against the St. Louis Cardinals at Dodger Stadium, Ryu gave up only three hits and struck out four batters. He left the mound with his team up 2-0.

The victory makes Ryu the only South Korean pitcher to secure a win in a MLB playoff game. Pitchers Park Chan-ho and Kim Byung-hyun both played in the playoffs but never notched a win as a pitcher.

St. Louis leads the best out of seven series 2-1.
