The Korean film Intruders has won the grand prix at this year's Hawaii International Film Festival.

The film's distributor CJ Entertainment says director Noh Young-seok's film along with Jeremy Saulnier's Blue Ruin jointly took top honors.

This is the first time a Korean film has grabbed the title since 2000 when director Lim Kwon-taek's Tale of Chunhyang won.

The film Intruders tells the story of a mystery murder at a pension with people from various walks of life.
