N. Korea Says it Will Return Six S. Koreans

Pyongyang has notified Seoul it will return six South Koreans on Friday afternoon who were detained for entering North Korea.

A Unification Ministry official says Pyongyang said in a notice on Thursday morning that the six will be sent home through the truce village of Panmunjom. The official noted the notice was in the name of the head of North Korea’s Red Cross.

The official said Pyongyang announced it was investigating four South Koreans on February 26th, 2010.

The official said when they return Seoul will check their identities and look into how they entered the North.
