Cheongju International Airport Air Show Opens

An international air show has opened at Cheongju International Airport.

The opening day of the Cheongju International Airport Air Show featured on Friday a show by Black Eagles, South Korea's special Air Force squadron. The U.S. Forces in Korea and an acrobatic flying team from Australia also joined the show.

Some 50 aircraft including helicopters and fighter jets from around the world are on display near the airport as well.

The air show, hosted by the Korea Aerospace Industries Association, will go on for three days until Sunday.
