The Samsung Lions defeated the Doosan Bears on Friday night to capture their third straight Korean Series title. 

The 7-3 win in game seven of the series gave the Lions their seventh Korea Baseball Championship overall.

The reigning champions blew a 2-2 game open with a five-run sixth inning and never looked back. They held Doosan to one more run on a solo home run by the Bear's Son Si-heon in the top of the seventh. 

Samsung's Park Han-yi was voted the MVP of the Korean Series. The right-fielder earned 40 out of 73 votes cast by the media.
