N. Korea Attacks Seoul's Trust Building Initiative

North Korea has again blasted South Korean President Park Geun-hye's Korean Peninsula trust-building process.

The Rodong Sinmun, the gazette of the North's ruling Workers' Party, argued Monday that Park's North Korea initiative mirrors the South Korean administration's hostile standpoint against the Korean people and its attempt to stoke confrontation.

The newspaper said since the Park administration has taken office it has babbled about North Korea making the right decision and realizing sincere change. It said the South viciously slandered the North's policies and stance and has been arrogant to say Pyongyang must be induced to make change.

The paper did not mention President Park in name but it denounced the South Korean government's plan for the gradual unification of the two Koreas, targeting the Unification Ministry's proposal for a small scale unification followed by a larger political consolidation.

The North says to seek regime unification in phases is a scenario with an impure motive.

But the regime remains silent about Park's comment on a possible inter-Korean summit made during her interview with a French newspaper.
