S. Korea, Russia to Face for First Soccer Match in 25 Years

South Korea’s national soccer team will face Russia for the first time in 25 years.

The Korea Football Association (KFA) said on Monday that South Korea and Russia will hold a friendly match in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on November 19th.

The planned match will be the two countries’ first since the 1988 Summer Olympic Games in Seoul. The match ended in a scoreless draw.

Russia, which finished 19th in the FIFA World Rankings, is led by Coach Fabio Capello, who has coached Italian Serie A sides AC Milan, AS Roma and Juventus as well as Real Madrid.

The South Korean national team's roster for the friendly match will be announced Monday afternoon.
