Park In-bee has become the first South Korean to clinch the LPGA Player of the Year award.

Park received the Player of the Year trophy on Friday at an award ceremony in Naples, Florida. 

She said she is honored to have her name among the great female golfers and especially proud to become the first South Korean to win the honor. 

She also hoped that her award will inspire the next generation of golfers to follow their dreams.

The 25-year-old Park won six tournaments this season including winning three straight majors.
