Seoul has ranked 12th on CNN’s list of the world's best shopping cities.
 
The Korea Tourism Organization said on Friday that CNN released a story called “World’s 12 best shopping cities” ahead the holiday season.
 
Rank was based on transportation, bargain opportunities, brand variety and the city's mood, using a one-to-ten scoring scale for each category.
 
CNN placed Seoul 12th, saying foreign luxury goods tend to be expensive, but local boutiques tend to be cheap and chic and the city has a good mix of the old and new.
 
New York topped the list, followed by Tokyo, London, Kuala Lumpur, Paris, and Hong Kong.
