The annual number of tourists to Jeju Island has topped ten million for the first time.
 
Jeju Governor Woo Keun-min delivered a bouquet of flowers and a gift on Thursday afternoon to tourist Kim Doo-il, who is this year’s ten millionth visitor to the island.
 
Kim said he was happy to be number ten million and that he often visits the island with his family.
 
The governor said Jeju is the only resort island to have reached the ten-million mark in a single year, ahead of Hawaii, Okinawa and Bali.
