Gimhae to Decorate Street with 'Multinational' Christmas Trees

Gimhae City in South Gyeongsang Province will decorate a street visited by many foreigners with Christmas trees representing ten countries.

The city said on Tuesday it will hold a Christmas festival at a street in Dongsang district from Sunday through January fifth.

The 150-meter Rodeo Street, a popular street for foreigners, will be decorated with Christmas trees showing national characteristics of China, the Philippines, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Nepal, Thailand, Mongolia, Sri Lanka, Cambodia and Pakistan.

The trees will be adorned with decorations and traditional handicraft made by foreign migrants.

About 16-thousand foreigners from 55 countries lived in the city as of the end of October.
