Korean athlete Yoon Sung-bin won the silver medal in the skeleton event at the Confederations Cup in Austria.

The Korea Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation said Yoon finished in second place in both the first and second matches of the event held Friday and Saturday.

Just last month Yoon also took the silver at the American Cup, boosting Korea's hopes of advancing to the skeleton sled competition in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.
