Gov’t to Bolster Cultural Content Industry

The government has agreed to help Korean cultural content producers expand their shares in the Chinese market.
 
The Culture, Sports and Tourism Ministry and Science, ICT and Future Planning Ministry agreed to the measure on Tuesday to further develop the domestic content industry.

They decided to will seek lower barriers for domestic content firms to enter the Chinese market through memorandums of understanding with Beijing. The government will also work to discourage the illegal distribution and circulation of Korean cultural contents like K-pop songs and dramas in China.
 
Next year, it will introduce a measure that enables consumers to more easily buy cultural contents.
