Buddhist Leader Issues Christmas Message

The head of South Korea's largest Buddhist sect has issued a Christmas message celebrating the birth of baby Jesus.

In the message released on Wednesday, the Venerable Jaseung of the Jogye Order expressed respect and gratitude to good neighbors in society who practice the spirit of love and sharing for the needy.

He also urged people to recognize and respect diversity in their neighbors as Jesus taught people to love their neighbors as themselves.

The Jogye Order also set up a Christmas tree at Jogye Temple in Seoul.
