Mediation has begun in the contract dispute between EXO-CBX and their agency SM Entertainment.

The Seoul Eastern District Court held its first mediation session last Tuesday in SM’s lawsuit demanding contract fulfillment and EXO-CBX’s counterclaim for settlement payments, valued at around 600 million won.

The trio terminated their exclusive contracts in 2023, citing unfair terms, but later agreed EXO’s full-group activities would stay under SM while individual and unit projects moved to their own label, INB100.

SM claims EXO-CBX failed to pay 10% of individual activity revenue under an agreement tied to IP usage, while EXO-CBX argues SM broke earlier promises on distribution fees. The case remains unresolved.
