The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell six-point-20 points, or zero-point-26 percent, on Friday, closing the week at two-thousand-409-point-41.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing two-point-44 points, or zero-point-31 percent, to close at 785-point-88.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened seven-point-seven won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-362-point-six won. The won-dollar exchange closed at the weakest rate in 13 years and four months since April 1, 2009, when it closed at one-thousand-379-point-five won per dollar.
