With the summit between President Lee Jae Myung and U.S. President Donald Trump just four days away, Trade Minister Yeo Han-koo reportedly met with his American counterpart on Thursday in Washington.
Yeo, who arrived in Washington on Wednesday, is said to have met with U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer on Thursday afternoon.
Their meeting is believed to have focused on finalizing the agenda for the summit, scheduled for Monday at the White House.
Industry, Trade and Energy Minister Kim Jung-kwan is set to arrive in Washington on Friday to meet with U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and Energy Secretary Chris Wright.
Foreign Minister Cho Hyun also departed for the U.S. on Thursday ahead of the upcoming summit and is expected to arrive in Washington later the same day, local time.
Because Cho’s trip was arranged on short notice, he was unable to secure a direct flight to Dulles International Airport near Washington and instead had to book a connecting flight.
